Portfolio-masonry] Teaser images not displaying - Solved (fix attached)

Using the Profile installation I can't seem to get the images showing in the masonry portfolio. It does however work using the Full install. I've compaired all settings I could think of but couldn't find a difference. Could you please explain me how I can get the teaser/thumbnails working using the profile installation? Some extra info; If I hover over the elements I do see the colored highlighting, the two icons and the title. When I open the portfolio full display the image does show.
