Banner section missing after deleting a Layer Slider

I deleted a Layer Slider attached to a block (Home » Administration » Structure » Blocks) from the Layer Slider section within the Administrator section (Home » Administration » Layer Slider) and now the home page does not show the Banner section at all, but produces an error when I reload the page. How do I get back this Banner section for the default home page.
