Warning: Illegal string offset '#children

Hi,

After making a couple of test submissions via the footer contact form, the form has disappeared and we now have the following Warnings:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in element_children() (line 6525 of /home/myaccount/public_html/includes/common.inc).
Warning: Illegal string offset '#children' in drupal_render() (line 5982 of /home/myaccount/public_html/includes/common.inc).
Warning: Illegal string offset '#children' in drupal_render() (line 5992 of /home/myaccount/public_html/includes/common.inc).
Warning: Illegal string offset '#children' in drupal_render() (line 6030 of /home/myaccount/public_html/includes/common.inc).
Warning: Illegal string offset '#printed' in drupal_render() (line 6037 of /home/myaccount/public_html/includes/common.inc).

Please advise.

We have turned off warnings in Drupal now to hide this issue.
