Styling Layer Slider

Is it possible to have a background color behind text layers or change the opacity of an image layer?

There is not enough contrast between the background image and the text which makes the slides difficult to read.

Hi Cameron Prince,

Please edit the slider, select Global Settings then add one of listed overlay class into Overlay Class textbox.
