is search api supported for the search box?

Hello, i'm thinking about buying this theme, but i need to know if it's possible to use the search block with search api? Thanks, great theme indeed.

We are using search feature of drupal core. Currently, it works fine with drupal database. You can use search API from drupal to do custom for the search feature. Thanks!

How can I use Search API to do custom from search feature?

My search api is setup but looks like this themes search is hard coded.... how can I make it use the search api database?
