Menu Item Width - line break/text wrapping

I am wanting my longer menu items to have a line break between words and break to the next line. Normally, I can accomplish this with just a max-width setting on the li leaf. I can't seem to do this with Evolve, as it adds extra space between words. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
