Maintenance Countdown Module

Hi all! Anybody experienced something like this? When I disable the MC module and I put the site in maintenance mode. I go to the front page of the site (not logged in), I get a Hello World page. Even if I have some text in the /admin/config/development/maintenance Message box. Actually, what I want is not show the counter. Tx ahead for any input.

There is a custom template called maintenance-page.php.tpl under theme folder! It is for testing only.plese delete it then clear cache. Thank!

I was trying to figure this out also and either missed it in the documentation or it's not there. Might be helpful for people in the future.
