Login Block

I have been impressed with this theme and played around with it for at least 6 months before deciding to customize it for a production site.  I have since decided to abandon using it in production due to a small issue that I cannot resolve.  I have been trying to find a place to locate the login block so that it does not look so cumbersome on the page, but have not.  Not being a skilled developer, I was unable to create a simple login/register link that would fit neatly at the top as many themes have done.  Could that be considered for the next update of this theme or is there a way in which I can accomplish this on my own?
