Font Awesome Icons disappeared after update.php

All of the font awesome icons on my site turned into small rectangles after I ran update.php. Any idea how to restore them? I tried adding the font awesome module and library to my files, but it didn't make any difference. Have run cron, cleared cache, no change. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have since figured out on my own that this was caused by using the Boost module. The Boost module speeds up the site to an acceptable to level but kills the font awesome icons and causes other problems as well, so I uninstalled it. Thanks for your reply anyway.
