featured blocks won't work on IOS devices

Hello,

I installed drupal- and necessary module security updates on hotec theme.....

After securtiy update install - the featured blocks won't work on Apple IOS (tested on IOS version 7 to version 8) devices (tested on iPAD, iPhone, iPod) anymore....

you see just the image but no overlay text and link.

 

any Idea somebody?
