Drupalexp Module changing reported Core version Number

I am having a problem with the Drupalexp Module changing the reported Drupal revision from the current most up to date (Ver 7.31) back to version 7.27. Thus my Drupal install is reporting that I am using version 7.27 when in fact ver 7.31 is loaded. This is turn is causing other modules to not function correctly because it is reporting an inadequate revision number???
