Carousels shortcode not working - Solved

The carousels shortcode isn't working. It's not showing images, only the browsers broken image icon. Inspecting the code (firebug) I noticed that the IMG src stays empty; < div class="item"> < p> < img src=""> < /p> < /div> I copied the shortcode from a sample widget from the full install (temp. got both installed) to exclude typing errors. How to fix this? Regards, Edwin ps. Any word on when the update will come out?
