Blend - Multi-Purpose eCommerce Drupal Theme

Hello. I am interested in purchasing the Blend Theme for Drupal, but I’m not a fan of the blue circular loading animations I see in between page loads. E.g. http://demo.drupalexp.com/blend/home-personal 

Are these part of the theme or merely part of the demo site’s design picker feature?

If I were to buy the theme and disable this animation, would there be visual side-effects besides seeing all the elements load gradually from top to bottom?
